Lockout/Tagout VR Training for Manufacturing
How manufacturing teams use our Lockout/Tagout module: isolate a conveyor's electrical and compressed-air energy, lock and tag it, prove it is dead, then service and restart it safely.
This is a use case: how one of our modules fits this industry. It is not a client project, and the module is ready to demo today.
- Module
- Lockout/Tagout (Safety Library)
- Industry
- Manufacturing and automotive
- Machine
- Conveyor CV01, with electrical and compressed-air energy
- Headset
- Meta Quest 3 or 3S
- Plans
- In every Safety Library plan, from $179 a month
The risk
Machines are serviced every day, and the danger is energy nobody isolated: a second supply, stored air pressure, or someone restarting the line while a person is inside the guard.
What the trainee does
- Confirm the machine, conveyor CV01, and find both energy sources: the electrical isolator E01 and the compressed-air isolator P01.
- Tell the machine operator before you start.
- Switch E01 off, close P01, and apply your own lock and tag at each point.
- Control the stored energy, then try to start the conveyor to prove it is dead.
- Complete the safe-to-work checklist and do the service task.
- Clear the area, remove only your own lock and tag, and restore the machine.
Fit it to your site
Use the module as it is in any Safety Library plan, or have it fitted to your equipment, layouts and procedures from $2,500. Most sessions finish within 8 to 20 minutes.
