VR Bleeding Control and Patient Transfer Training for EMS University
Two VR modules for EMS University: bleeding control and shock management on a virtual patient, and moving a patient from bed to wheelchair.
- Client
- EMS University, USA
- Industry
- Emergency medical services training
- Platform
- Meta Quest
- Modules
- Bleeding control and shock management; patient transfer
The problem
Bleeding control has to be fast and right the first time, and learners rarely get to practice it on a real casualty before they need it.
What we built
- A VR scene with a virtual patient who needs bleeding control and treatment for shock.
- Step-by-step tasks such as applying pressure to the wound, with a task list and a timer in view.
- A second module for moving a patient from bed to wheelchair.
- Learners work through the steps themselves in the headset, as many times as they need.
